Gas jumped ~.50/gal in North Tx overnight. From 2.50 to 2.99/gal.

Price/barrel seems unchanged.

AAA says the "old" they are switching from Winter to Summer blends. Gonna say that never meant .50/gal before. Seems sus.

Haven't found any rational reason why, yet.

The 'state government ' is looking for ways to make more " easy $$$" from the people who they dont serve, because DOGE cut off every states ability to 'tap into USAID $$$$$'.
EVERY state is scrambling to make up their 'scam $$$$$$$" that lines their political pockets for upcoming elections. Texas is no different. You all have a Shit-ton of jihadist MUSLIMS, who HATE Christian's, and AMERICA living in your midst, courtesy of your state Government.

Houston area finds the same thing; prices have risen since Pres. Trump took office @50 cents or so.
Typical "seasonal blends" if you want to call it that historically occurred around the Memorial Day weekend (May) and remain high until the Labor Day weekend (Sept).
I've always attributed this to increased travel days during summer months when most folks are on vacation. You know, profiteering or price gouging.

Seems like seasonal was always like .15 or .20 in the past.

I agree, it was never this much if my memory serves me...
I am sure we will still see another seasonal increase as well.
With Crude, even light sweet around $60 per BBL the fuel price doesn't follow historic trends, IMHO...
