Social Security is not a "benefit" since it is the money that legal US citizens had taken from their salaries for the years that they worked.
Government:
"It was taken out so that each citizen would have Medicare, etc when they retired.
(As if we, the gov't are watching out for all of you.)
As if the majority of us couldn't take care of ourselves.
I recall not even understanding all the different categories they used to take my money from me.
The worst irony is that we need more younger citizens because we need them to cover our SS 'benefits'-because SS is going to run out of money - does that seem absurd to anyone?
