I do not use self service, but at CVS they removed all cashiers, all of them! Yesterday I was firced to use it and I failed so finally the lady responsible for helping had to do it. It’s a horrible and humiliating procedure.

You are to be commended for ''failing'' to self checkout, that way the store needs to keep an employee on hand to help customers having issues at the register.
If I ever find myself in a similar situation I will think of you and intentionally screw up the checkout process so an employee is forced to aid me! 😉
