The biblical passage describing Satan being bound for 1000 years is Revelation 20:1-3. In this passage, an angel binds Satan, the dragon, the old serpent (representing the Devil), and throws him into the abyss, sealing it to prevent him from deceiving the nations for a thousand years. After this period, he is released for a short time.
