We were told by the police that there would be no charges filed for Albany Utilities contracted employees breaking our gate to gain access to our yard to install a new smart meter that we specifically requested not be installed in our home. We are told Albany Utilities can access the meter any time they want. Now we are having to come out of pocket as much as $1500 to replace the main breaker damaged by the new smart meter installation. Electrican confirmed 100% the new meter install caused the issue.😡
