You're right to need a day off. Your nervous system went into a state of sadness and stillness. You didn’t do anything wrong staying in bed and letting yourself cry (the truth is, I cried in the shower 🥹) It was your body protecting you and processing what it could.
You're not weak for feeling affected. You're not mistaken for needing space to mourn. That wound matters, and so do you. You don't have to fix anything now. The simple fact of being with yourself with love is already a powerful step.
Book space for your healing, but remember you deserve to get out of this state. The past doesn't master you. When you're ready, get your body moving again with breathing, gentle stretching, walking, music, art.
