Yes, I think of how these rescued kids probably don't even know what fun is (some probably never even saw the sun) so imagine their wonder at riding a horse, running a snowmobile, or shooting a gun and learning to defend themselves. Teach 'Em things they can take real pride in, working with their minds and their hands. Would be just awesome!

They love learning and helping, too. What better place than a ranch with so many different types of chores!

💯 Kitty! When I was a younger Fella, I was a Wrangler & taught kids how to ride. Especially rewarding was working with kids who had SEVERE deformities & injuries, some with burn scars over big parts of their bodies. (Can't wait for Medbeds to roll out, burns are horrific.) Some of those kids could barely walk...but still, put 'Em on a horse! 🐎 Faces lit up with ear to ear grins & all that handicap went away. To control an animal so big, ride around in a ring. To trot, to canter. Life changing in an instant. 😃 Took 'Em horse-camping, fire-pit cookout, and those kids would actually argue over who'd collect fire wood, crutches & all.
When I was a boy my friends & I would play "Capture the Flag" on horseback. What a ruckus. Pullin' each other's bridals off at a run. No holds barred! Those were the days.
A good riding ring filled with tons of sand sure makes for softer landings. 🤣
When the first convenience store came to area, rode my horse to it. Tied it up by the door.

Thing is, no matter how technology changes, spending time with animals and outdoor adventure like riding horses will remain the same, only safer. Of course as we ascend and if we get telepathy or animals start talkin', that'll be a hoot! 😂

Lori I've often thought of getting an even BIGGER ranch to set up just to teach kids what me & some good Frens know.
If a kid or anyone is traumatized, put them on a horse & that's real therapy - controlling a 1000+ lb animal & trail ride 🐎...that rider's bond with a horse. It does amazing things to heal & build confidence & lil' kids can do it.
I'd also set up as an outdoor adventure school. I'm an old mountaineer, climbed all over the world & could teach kids how to camp & survive in the wilderness, or even climb a frozen waterfall & for sure get to that mountain top.
Shooting range would be a MUST, have competitions.
Make it a trade school, too. Teach kids how to fix everything from cars > snowmobiles > heavy equipment > helicopters & planes & how to pilot them. 🚁🚀
Gotta add a dive school with a huge pool + trips to the ocean, of course.
BIG GARDENS!
Finally a cook school so everyone can learn to eat well.
