I personally think, the best place to put any "boer/afrikaaner" in America is either Texas, or where ever the Amish are. Not in the Amish, next to.

Some of the boere are still very old school, so they would gravitate more to an Amish type settlement, but where they can be their own people, but like minded people soon away.
Others are more modern, where they like luxurious things, but will still have a lot of boundaries, especially for the daughters, so that mean there must be very strong men that they can decide is good enough as a husband, must believe in God, none negotiable
Then you get the rubbish. It happens in all nations. Try to avoid those, they are stupid but dangerous
