As a young lad I toured the beautiful wineries & wine caves of Vouvray, France. They explained the process of making red wine in some wineries involves the process of using cow's blood to settle impurities out of wine (that's what they told me, never saw it) but even that totally grossed me out. Not sure if that's true but why would they lie?
