Great names might serve as educational opportunities.
My vote would be a personal hero, Linus Pauling, who was a scientist in the fields of Quantum Chemistry and Biochemistry.
He received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1954 and in 1962 he received the Nobel Peace Prize for his peace activism.
He is one of four to have won more than one Nobel Prize The others: Marie Curie, John Bardeen and Frederick Sanger. Pauling and Curie were the only two people to be awarded Nobel Prizes in different fields.
Using such names could educate and even inspire the study of science.
Marie Curie is a also great choice.
