🇺🇸 MARCH 13th K9 VETERANS DAY 🪖🐾❤️

There are 100,000 dogs working in or being trained for
law enforcement.

2,500 Mil Working Dogs, 700 deployed overseas

1,500 K9 teams @ U.S. Customs & Border Protection

5,600 dogs work for the Fed Gov
most for Homeland Sec (2,943) & DoD (1,808)

50,000 Police K-9s

350+ dogs worked at Ground Zero within hours after 9-11.
They worked there for months.

They have special medics & their handlers are trained
to medically take care of them, insuring they have rest, water, etc.

For all their exceptional skills their most important contribution is
emotional support 🇺🇸❤️🪖

The Military most often work with Belgian Malinois
a special breed of German Shepherd (intelligent,)
Bouvier des Ardennes (quick, alert,) & Rottweiler (fearless, strong.)

It was Belgian Malinois, Conan, who took down al-Baghdadi,
& police K9 Yoda, who took down serial killer, Cavalcante.

We salute you, brave warriors 🫡🇺🇸🐾🪖❤️#godblessyou

Do you know if these working dogs are vaccinated, I know in towns and cities it's required, if there is an incident where an animal is bitten by your pet they will take your pet, keep them for a certain amount of time (I believe its to make sure they don't have rabies) I was just wondering if it's required for the working dogs too?
