I have known a young man for maybe 12 years...
His younger sister at about 2 years decided to be my friend...(Love that innocence God uses!) to connect me & my 2 shelties with their family.
Miss 2 would bee line at me whenever we crossed paths... as an Undergrad I volunteered as a tutor and worked with special challenges. The mom and me became friends because of Miss 2 as well as getting to know her son with much damage from those childhood jabs. Funny looking back...few made headway with him and what came easy for me opened this little boy up.
I use to say look at my eyes...let me see your eyes. Jab damage is NOT so different then PTSD.
Both alter the brain from God's intended. For some time I and my dogs helped him progress. Curious Animals especially Dogs helped me heal the PTSD..and TBI. We are all a work in progress!
Scripture says we are a Living Testimony ...Jesus is in the story.

👆My 3rd 'career' is the YMCA, 17yrs. 15 of them have been connected to Sean, a 44yr old suffering from autism of some sort. What struck me when I hired him was that he could drive!
Somehow his mother had taught him how to pass the tests. That was the start of a relationship that I can't wait to expand.
To see him finally become a man-in-full might make my heart explode.
Today, and now tonite is special. We are truly Blessed...😁
