not safe to walk around even during the day

Humm, where’s help to get the drug addicts the true proper help they need? You think Food Banks, Human Service Centers, putting them on disability & keeping them stuck in the system on Medicare & Medicaid is helping, NOT, NOT, NOT! It just keeps them in a vicious trap of highs & lows, people getting paid & not really helping them but introducing them to more addicts, & never feeling productive & worthy again. Often they end up destroying themselves & death occurs devastating their families. Only good thing putting them on disability & Medicare & Medicaid, it takes the financial burden off the family which would financially break them cause they get no help. Our government & Big Pharma let the cartels in supporting them in this country! Where’s that drug money to truly start healing facilities for these very sick addicts? It’s a disease, they ARE SICK? When is society going to look at them as having a disease? You think its easy for them to stop, drugs have changed their brainchemistry.

Thank you for understanding, sorry I got a little firm on this, my son is one of those addicts, lived homeless for 6 years till we finally court committed him twice to the state hospital, which was the worst experience of my life watching him fight so hard for his sanity in the courtroom & not making much sense, I just cried. Sad we had to resort to this for him & been dealing with it for almost 15 years. No one can seem to convince our son that he needs help, he gets his monthly injection of his antipsychotic for his schizo-affective disorder & then counteracts it with Meth & high energy drinks so he doesn’t feel the apathy & chronic tiredness that the antipsychotic makes him feel. They call it self-medicating I call it pure frustration that there are no answers with the system we have. I give ideas to his case workers & counselors but no one changes anything & just go with the status quo & get their paychecks. I finally gave up, just pray for my son, & for God to stir his soul!🙏😥

I have a family member with a similar story. Been tom rehab 4 times. Has schizo effective disorder. If she gets off her meds she ends up in trouble.
