I will say that I remember being taught about the golden calf and children being offered to it - yes, in SS. It didn’t seem like a big deal- maybe it was to make it seem like it was an ancient practice.
Yeah they didn’t really explain what that meant. The high places, what was actually happening there, passing their children through the fire. Of course as children we probably didn’t need to hear all of that but ans adults we should’ve started being told what these stories were actually telling us about was demonic pagan worship. I always kind of thought. God was mean for destroying some of those barbarians but now I understand why. I don’t think I ever really heard the Genesis 6 or read it until a few years ago. Much less understood what it meant.
was watching the House of David this weekend and remembering how I always thought Samuel was really mean to kill the king of the Amalekites the way he did, but now I know who they were. I will say that series made him look super creepy.
