Bet I could sit with you on a park bench and learn more in one hour than I did in twelve years of school. I moved to CO 20+ years ago, but I never dug into history here, only by seeing sights or talking to a few folks. There was an era when I could not have said who our governor was, but I did always know to go out & vote against dems every time, even if it never seemed to count, courtesy of grandma’s sister who taught me plenty while she was on this globe… it seemed wise to listen to her. The more I looked around, the more she was right. Also, my step-dad was a black sheep in his brood and he loved Rush Limbaugh starting in the early days, so I caught on more working on cars with him, but I had much to learn and will always have plenty more to learn. I guess if you teach a kid anything, at least make sure they understand right from wrong and that they know for sure not to help the bad guys when they get old enough to vote. It was a good enough start. Now I know more and more daily.
