Bob Unanue, former CEO of Goya Foods, announced his unexpected removal by the company’s board, igniting a firestorm of support from conservative circles.
Known for his staunch anti-child trafficking advocacy and his role as executive producer of the hit film Sound of Freedom, Unanue vowed to continue his mission undeterred, emphasizing his nearly 48-year commitment to rescuing innocent children and raising awareness through initiatives like Goya Cares.
In his statement, he declared, “This mission is bigger than any title… Regardless of my future with Goya Foods, I will not be silenced as trafficking is one such evil we simply cannot ignore,” and further affirmed, “No board decision can shake my resolve. I remain fully committed to raising awareness, holding traffickers accountable, and ensuring a safer future for our nation’s children.”
With 325,000+ children lost to trafficking, Unanue’s resolve prompted many supporters to pledge boycotts of Goya products in solidarity.
