I agree that young minds who are expert in tech are key here BUT to denigrate and leave those of us who WANT TO HELP on the shelf just because of our age, is pretty awful.
I heard they were running into COBOL code but these kids don't understand it. That was the FIRST language I learned in the 80s but I am useless to them... none of these 20 somethings have a clue how to write COBOL. Why are we that understand it being ignored when we want to and most likely could help faster than these kids can learn that language?
No one seems to want us folks over 60 any longer and that is not only DISCOURAGING but makes me and another friend who have applied to help Patriot causes feel like pieces of old garbage no one feels have any use any longer.

I was here early in 2021, then got "spooked". I am back because I want to live. I read a lot. I observe. I listen. I have faith in us.
I am a decade younger than you and was already socially engineered out of the workforce during the pandemic. My observation is that the younger crowd can break the codes and expose the money trails but they should not be determining what is fraud or waste as they do not have the history or context with those programs. For example, not all foreign aid is waste. Not all public health is waste, especially when it comes to supporting women and children who are living in situations much worse than what we endured during lockdowns. What does that situation create? More situations like we find in pockets around the US and UK where women and children are not safe.

Wow Kat-a trip down memory lane:
1970-Studied computers when they
took up the space of a large room.
Learned FORTRAN to program that computer.
Pushed the FORTRAN card into a slot; then, after some rumbling, the computer printed an answer.
1973-my professor asked me to learn the codes of 2 different "programmable calculators" in his office.
He said they'd do 99 percent of what the room computer did. (the 2 computers were Texas Instrument and Wang)
I learned, using the manuals and thought it was great fun.
Then he purchased a "plotter" from Tx Instruments. (Had to call Texas for help because our manual for the plotter wasn't up to date)
Then Prof asked me to create a program from Schoedinger's Wave Equation. (Schoedinger's had to do with electrons)
When I got the Plotter to print the Orbital of a Carbon 2PX electron, Prof ran to tell all the prof's and they came to see!
Still have notes and FORTRAN cards but not the ability to do it again.
