According to Dr. Michael Salla, Gene Roddenberry was also contacting the "Council of 9"... an ET alien group on Ganamede, a moon of Jupiter. If true wouldn't THAT just be Amazing!
This "Council of 9" was apparently there monitoring Humanity's Awakening, and that would also make sense that they choose Roddenberry and helped him to also bring Galactic information to us via STAR TREK.
