I do not think most people were blindly following authority. I think many of them were entrapped and forced to participate. That is why there needs to be serious consequences for entrapping and blackmailing people.

It also proved many will not follow and now will question and rebuke all authority. The awakening will not be stopped as no ever ever goes back to sleep but thousands wake up every day
