I see a scenario that Musk intentionally presents these softball questions so that accounts like Carrol can respond and get their reach amplified by Musk's fame. Musk's posts are presented as if he is at the same information level that the 'standard normie' is at, and is just now learning the complexities of the Mid-East. Why would he do that? It doesn't help his 'brand' but as big names like Owens picks up the story it will put Carrol's account into the feeds of 10's or 100's of thousands of waking normies.
He could cancel or mute Carrol anytime he wants. Musk's response will be telling.
Or it could be what it seems.
There are other possibilities too that aren't as hopeful.
I like your perspective - especially given that it probably is not Elon and we know these people do not really run anything.
