I went out on the lake I live on with a kyak to rescued a goose that I thought was stuck in ice. When I got to it I realized it wasn't stuck but it didn't try to flee from me. Then I thought maybe it was injured somehow. I covered it with a towel and pulled out of the water. I got it home and checked it out. No visible injuries but it's head kept flopping. I contacted wildlife to come and get it. They wanted a video so I sent them a video. They wrote back and told me it has the avian flu. It died about an hour later. Since then, there has been about 6 more geese that has died on the lake. Is it possible for people to get it if they eat a goose with avian flu? I won't eat it but there are many hunters out here that do.
LOL. I don't mean eating the dead goose. I meant those that hunt them. Just for clarification. ๐๐
