Here where I live we already do this, and have for 40 + years. Our poor communities, of which I live in a one horse town, one 4-way stop.
Some of us collect our and our children's old clothes and we give them to those who need them. Old dishes when someone gets new are welcomed by those who need dishes, furniture, appliances, etc. Those who cannot afford to give stuff away have yard sales on the weekends in the Spring and Summer. You can dicker with them on price, but most of the time if they see you need it, and do not have the money they may give the item to you.

Somewhat here as well, mostly people donate to the Churches, Food Pantry's, and the Thrift Stores. As well as yard sales and boot sales from cars. There are also in the larger area, flea markets and places of gatherings to sell a person's items. Churches give out for FREE, but there is a complete cycle here. There is also near the grocery store a box for used books that people can take one or more. And the local library has sales on their older books for less than a dollar. 💛

We still need more for victims of natural disasters, and such. I encourage others to not throw away things if someone else can use it.

I've thought much about a shit ton of clothes I have still. What about 'Replicators'? Will we have 'old' clothes like before? New World awaits us, and we can't begin to guess what tomorrow will bring.👆

I am transitioning back to an all cotton wardrobe. I need to work on improving my own health. No fluoride for 8 years now, eating an alkaline diet, medicinal herbs, lose a few pounds, then a few more. I read about MedBeds a good 6 years ago, and we are still waiting. It was just time for me to work on it myself.
