Speaker Johnson’s term expired with the last congress.
Next term begins January 3.
At the outset of the session THEY HAVE to choose a Speaker.
If you get to January 20th & still no Speaker —
Biden is out, Harris is out, Johnson would be out
you could end up with Sen Patty Murray [D-WA]
or probably Sen. Grassley [R-IA]
& of course, no business is getting done until a Speaker is seated.

that it is not in [their] interest to get Trump back into office.
[THEY] NEED TO BUY TIME FOR OTHER THINGS
TO MAYBE UNRAVEL FURTHER
so when Trump does get in he has his hands full on other fronts.

WITH TRUMP RETURNING [THEY’RE] IN GREAT LEGAL PERIL
SO THEY WILL DO ANYTHING [TO STOP HIM]
& NOT JUST DEMOCRATS.
