So, today doing the last food shop, and, ALL the whipping cream has thickners in it.
All of them.
Because, they are ALL watered down now, because there is not enough dairy to feed the demand, because the bastards are making farming impossibly expensive (have you see the cost of feed??) and over legislated, buying up land and killing the herds.
The ingredients used to be 'cream'... so, please do not normalize this by saying 'to stabilize it', which is bs... carragenan and guar gum are plants, but, so is deadly nightshade... you don't eat that either.
So, any sauces I do will have extra butter in, and maybe some corn starch to thicken...
This is all because they are watering the product down...
So, you are paying whipped cream price, for half and half.
