I thought for sure this was the mark of the beginning of the Tribulation, and the Great Tribulation. But, more than a thousand two hundred and three score days of Revelation 12:6, plus the forty and two months of Revelation 13:5, and nothing yet.

It was a warning the Tribulation will soon begin. God always warns before judgement The Bible is Israel and mideast centric. There is much tribulation there. Damascus has fallen. It will soon be in ruins (Isaiah 17). This leads to Ezekiel 38-39. Everything is lined up. The restrainer is being removed. Much has happened since then. It's been a slow fade but things are ramping up. False peace is coming for a short time. Then all hell breaks loose.
