Everyone's stocking up on food for Thanksgiving.
THAT'S A GOOD THING. Everyone will be together, too.
College kids home from campus. πŸ‘
Why not stock up on EXTRAS? Just in case of emergency.
Canned & dry non-perishable food. Think rice, pasta, beans to save $. ROTATE!
Bottled natural spring water. Maybe a camping water filter.
Meds & Pet Food. Whatever you might need for up to 30 days.
Fill them propane BBQ tanks to cook & boil.
Maybe a backup power generator to keep fridges/freezers cold if power's out? (always run outdoors, use heavy extension cords) Spare fuel safely stored for that & your vehicle, JIC.
Flashlights, batteries (cheap solar landscape lights work great, too)
Some cash on hand. Your preferred personal self-defense protection.
Camping gear? Keep it ready. Organize cherished personal things & docs you might take with you.
Maybe a CB or Ham Radio. Download Signal App.
Know where loved ones are 24/7. Have a rendezvous plan.
BE PREPARED, NOT SCARED.

Lots of great suggestions! 🧾 βœ…

There are videos on YouTube with instructions on how to make a πŸ”₯ rocket stove (don't forget a lighter or matches).
The camping supply section of Walmart has 🧻 toilet seats with lids that attach to πŸͺ£ 5 gallon buckets (buckets are in paint dept).
While there, grab some 🍽️ paper plates, and a πŸ”² dishpan to make cleanup easy.
πŸ”‹Battery-operated motion πŸ”˜ lights are handy too.
And β˜• instant coffee would help ease morning breakfast prep.
