I have had a theory for decades from living in Cali, many quakes I have been thru happen after vey much rain--how heavy is water when 3/4 of the state gets saturated, with a week like this we will see 10-15+ inches, it is like setting a shallow ocean onto the land surface and ALL Cali land is on the east side of the largest longest fault line...and quakes are all about pressure on one side or the other
