In response Lilly May to her Publication
This is dumb. Georgia doesn't have a law about leaving children home alone. Guidelines say 9-12-year-olds can be left alone for brief periods, 2 hours. They overreacted to this. It's funny they wanted her to sign something. Where I used to work, the kids were just chucked in the car's front seat when picked up from school. Parents are distracted while talking on their phones. No seat belts. It was the norm. The police didn't bother to stop them. However, if you go to the other side of town police are all over the place. It's a wacky world. This happened in Mineral Bluff GA which is North of Atlanta. but Atlanta has to be one of the most corrupt cities in the US.
