Each person's perspective of Reality seems to be unique. That's why the enemy wants to do tech to make them 'hive minded'.
Those people living in Nineveh probably thought what they were doing and living 'was right'.
Jonah hated them 'so much' he disobeyed God first and bought passage on a ship going in the opposite direction from Nineveh!
That's the story of God making a 'great fish' to swallow him up and deposit him on the shore by Nineveh, and tells him to go and tell these people to turn to GOD or be destroyed in 40 days (lot of symbolism going on of course).
What's interesting to me is this story is used in the Pinocchio movie, that revealed children abdication, luring them to Pleasure Island, being turned into donkeys and sold. And the hero being swallowed by a whale, and what he did to escape.
But the real story is about 'redemption'.
God opening the ears of the dumb to recognize Him as the Real God and to Listen to HIM
