Our wounds and scars are testament to the trials and tribulations that life has thrown at us. They are reminders of the fact that despite difficulties, we are still standing. And in the knowledge of our own strength and resilience, lies the courage to face whatever comes our way.

A clean and shiny sword would not know how to fight the deception and manipulation that we have endured, it would not understand the evil that has permeated every aspect of society, it would not know the inner strength that has developed inside of us, precisely because of the mental and physical abuse we’ve suffered.

We may be cracked and dented, but that is where our beauty and wisdom lies, for only through the healing process have we discovered our power, our faith and our love.
