I recall reading an article years ago about child prostitution.
It stated that in the early 1800s, in England they raised the age that was legal for children to be prosecutes to age nine. It was then illegal for a child under the age of nine to be a prostitute.
Two hundred years ago there was much inhumanity across the world.
