To my Dr's dismay, I took myself off of my statin med. a year ago. Within a couple weeks, my brain fog lifted, my memory got better, I was no longer dizzy all the time, and I feel stronger and more energetic now. When she checked my cholest. level, it was the same as when she started it: borderline. My one neighbor said "Wow, you're like a totally different person now, it's like a miracle"...no walker or anything, so I'm a happy camper lol :-)
