If you are looking for REAL daily updates on what's happening in WNC, specifically the Swannanoa Valley, Jason A. Ward is your guy.
He is the frontman for Silverados - an outdoor concert venue that turned into a donation drop and pick-up center.
I helped out there yesterday and was amazed at the levels of organization, the amounts and kinds off donations that have been delivered from so many people across the country, and the sheer number of folks that came through to get their cars filled with things they never thought they would have to ask for, and received so graciously.
Oh, and the lack of rain for 4 weeks post-disaster has turned the area into an apocalyptic dust bowl.

I hear the dust is toxic (bacteria)...and people are breathing it in.
Questioning everything led to my progressive awakening. Still learning daily. A new me, The Real Me is emerging. Strange, but I like her.
Yes, people are breathing it in, no choice unless they wear a mask. I didn't see anyone wearing one. I saw a few people with bandanas. I woke up this morning with sinus drainage and scratchy throat and I was only out there for half a day. I am definitely concerned about the residents getting really sick. They need constant prayer over them.
I Love Truth. Jesus answered, "I am the way and the Truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Jn 14:6
"I can tell you this, there is a lot here that did not happen on its own."
