Because you can't be dead when you are an organ donor.....the organs would be dead as well....so doing a transplant of dead organs is not going to save a life-doctors just would not do the surgery - when you put on your drivers license you are a donor, that is all they need, they take your organs probably with no pain relief like they do to the children, & fly the organs quickly where they need to go....I believe they have 1 hour window to keep the organs alive...do not put that on your drivers license EVER
