WESTERN NC: For anyone who is wanting to help in the disaster relief efforts from Hurricane Helene, there is a desperate need for people to work the phone lines to answer calls for help. This work can be done from anywhere in the world. If you’d like to help, text your name and email address to Steve Garland at 720-971-4509. Over 17,000 calls have not been answered, and over 20,000 have not been called back. Each of those calls is a plea for help.
He will send you a training video and an invitation to the crisis hotline.
The suffering is beyond imagination. All volunteers welcome to help with this.
