US LEGAL resident alien, WWG1WGA, Out of Darkness into Light. Tallyho!!

I find it interesting, that in South Carolina Helene is described as a Hurricane, but, in N Carolina, it is described as a Tropical storm. - on the Official FEMA website.

I am sure those terms affect how much and how quickly the residents of NC receive aid.

Its all about the terminology.

Indeed.

The words used are very specific, and in specific context can mean completely different things to their common usage.

I was trying to find the contractual verbiage that defines FEMAs money as a loan, that is secured on the property of the applicant - came across this instead.

Now, a couple of the videos I have seen, of walls of water inundating, look to me like a dam bursting was the cause, that then becomes the indirect effect of the weather... I am sure THAT is going to be used to confuse and confound traumatized people too.

I bet, there is a separate set of forms one has to fill out for that circumstance. Of course, one has to know the source of that wall of water, and, with no power, no internet - that is going to be difficult.

Exactly what FEMA knows.

you bet ...company attorneys burning the oil to find the verbage to tell people..we wont pay...or not pay that much due to this and that.....to explain away the companies rules.....and then put that crap on the customer service reps....

have a headache thinking about it.
