Wonder how many people know to empty their dishwasher, put your valuables in there. It’s waterproof so anything in there will stay dry & protected.
I suppose this might work if the drain hose was disconnected and clamped tight. Once water gets to drain height, it will backfill the dishwasher. So, disconnecting at the sink and not the washer and making sure the end of the hose is water tight just might do the trick. The old fashioned portable ones would be perfect for this.
