Singing prayers & G-d’s word is commanded by G-d. Singing, we can more easily remember the text & the word of G-d. It’s how our minds are wired by G-d. Even wonder why you can always remember the words of a song?

Davening is just a rocking motion with our bodies. Turns out that as you rock your body while praying it closes off the world around you so you can more easily concentrate on the prayer to G-d. It focuses our mind. We are not distracted by the world and other thoughts.
