Folks let's put an end to the theory that BlackRock somehow orchestrated the hurricane disaster so it could do a land grab in NC to fulfill a 90 million dollar contract.
If people would take the time to do a little research they would find that the contract was awarded by the DOD to Albemarle who owns the lithium mine at Kings Mtn. NC.
BlackRock owns 12,183,614 shares of Albemarle, which is 10.4% of the company. This is an increase from January 25, 2024, when BlackRock owned 10,187,246 shares.
Acquisition
On August 31, 2024, BlackRock bought 2,220,059 additional shares of Albemarle at $90.25 each.

So why in the hell would they try to flood and destroy a mine they already own? They wouldn't. They may be criminals but they aren't stupid.

The people were against them EXPANDING the mine, the people have been fighting them for a while, and it's a red state. Have you looked into how dangerous lithium is to mine.. Plus they murder, rape, eat babies, do you really think they care that they'd have to build a bigger mine..

Woah! Dude that mine has been there for decades and only closed due to the fact it was cheaper to buy lithium from South America. You want a boogey man I get it but when you randomly throw out stuff like murder and eating babies at everything you don't like or approve of you sound crazy. I know exactly what strip mining looks like but like it or not it is legal. Before you make statements about what the people want without facts to back it up you might want to explore the economics of that region.
