Rivers and roads are flooded! Asheville you cannot get to, all roads flooded. Airport closed. Bryson City under about 6 foot of water, entire small mountain towns wiped from the map.
Internet is down, landlines are emergency only, cell phones up and down and emergency only!
My family is ok. But NC was hit hard! TN hit hard, and N GA hit hard!
And virtually no communication, not even with the emergency radio weather station!

It wasn't normal!
I will be on and off for the next week or so. Internet is rough with hotspot, cell phones and landlines are emergency only, No information is getting to the people! Weather radio says minimal, just weather and not much on flooding or instructions. God Bless the people!!!

I don’t think complete wash out but definitely some and a lot of people trapped and without supplies. FEMA is active now as well as many other organizations and good humans helping. I’m about 45 minutes from there so mostly what I’m hearing is from radio and word of. Mouth. The radio stations are doing a great job with round the clock communications. They are taking calls all day long from individuals calling in and either asking for help or giving info for pleple to get help and resources all over the entire region, every county.

Sadly we get the weather channel and a country on the FM, nothing is coming in on am for us. Although I just called 211 and they said for road conditions text 511. So I will see if the hotspot will let me, so far it is holding up pretty well today!

I was told a local Baptist church might help with the diapers, so if our program manager can't get the office open, we can try there! So it is good to know before we run out!💛
