This brings back memories from when I was deployed to New Orleans the day after Hurricane Katrina hit for 2 months and countless air rescues from peoples rooftops, many who had to cut, force their ways anyway they could to get to safety ontop of the roofs to their houses.

Thank you for your service - I was there in New Orleans during Katrina and could tell some horror stories... Left a week after the storm and returned a month later. Total shit show - I still get triggered with PTSD from certain things. God bless you for helping so many people
A shit show is honestly a understatement and the response was a total failure IMO
