She said she doesn't want the money and that she thanks us for it. She got up from the table, food fell on the floor and a huge argument with the organizers ensued. They fired us with threats that they (this guys) would take responsibility for their actions. For a while it looked like there was going to be a fight. Then the movie director Karel Janák somehow calmed it down....
Friends paid for a taxi home for her and me and we had to promise not to go out in the evenings for at least a month. The other girl stayed there, she said it would be over in a while.
I only understood my friends' concerns when I read in the newspaper about a week later that they had found a dead girl in Prague who matched the description of the other girl who had stayed there.
