This isn’t exclusive to the entertainment industry. This goes back a long way in the “brotherhood” club society.
They have a saying.
You can scream and shout, but you can’t get out.
It can be anyone. Your father, brother, grandpa, uncle. The guy in line at the store, in the car next to you.
They keep each other’s secrets, because they don’t want theirs to get out.
Anyone “in the life” will not only not protect you. They will play a part in setting you up. Once you fall into the trap. They all assume that you should have known better. Anyone in the life knows better and anyone not in the life doesn’t matter.
It’s a hard lesson. It’s ingrained deep in their culture and they are trapped by their own brothers. They can’t help you, even if they want to.
