Missing 411 once reported that statistically no one has ever been abducted who was ARMED + CARRIED A GPS EMERGENCY LOCATOR TRANSMITTER (ELT) on them.

Don't know if carrying an ELT only resulted in zero abductions.
Could be the Reptos & Tall Greys don't want their portals geo-located and/or the ELT frequency messes with them or their technology such that armed individuals with ELT become more of a threat to them.
