Yes nasty.
The man I dated was intelligent, at times kind, other times, cruel.
I was an easy target-I was at my lowest point ever,
He told me of his religion and gave me prayers to read.
Some prayers seemed ok because they were to Christian saints, Jesus, etc. I didn't catch that the names had extra words added. Other prayers were to mythical gods and weird entities I never heard of.

After I said a new prayer, which was to the violet flame, electricity was running through my body. My friend thought it was a great miracle and continued to indoctrinate me, said we were twin flames, and insisted we pray together for 3 hrs a day.

(It concerns me to see posts that refer to Twin Flames and the violet flame!)

During the 2 years I was under this man's spell, I had severe panic attacks and was suicidal.

It was Hell.

Don't recall how I came to my senses, but I did.

I told him,
"I don't need you, your gods and prayers; I need only Jesus."

I was free.

I find it boastful, weird for folks to stop, drop, make a big deal to pray when all they have to do is talk.

I'm a person that enjoys conversation with Yeshua Messiah and Father God.
I don't make appointments, or set aside 3 hours for Prayer because I am in a constant Prayer Mode with Father God and Jesus.

It doesn't cease.
I consider my conversation with the Lord as Scripture says, "Father God walking in the Garden in the cool of the day."
I imagine a gentle breeze from the Holy Spirit Reach.
Beautiful, special non ceasing breeze as we talk through the day.

Prayer is beautiful & private.
Stopping in the intersection, at a gas station to do a mandatory prayer with their butts in the air, or flame stuff is not.

This guy definitely wasn't Muslim and perhaps the only similarity was the hours of enforced prayer.
I don't know.
Anyway, I agree -conversation with God is the best.
Thinking about that time in my life, I had forgotten that my friend had been terribly abused by leaders of his Christian Church, so he was a target, also. He wanted to believe in something but found the wrong thing.
Then he also was too smart for his own good but maybe he was simply happy that he had found "religion."
Satan is a deceiver.
BTW I forgave my friend long ago. Just telling the story out of my concern for people who might also be unknowing, innocent targets.
