With evolving technologies, the demand for LCD monitors and televisions is also on the increase hence, more of them reach the end of their life. About 34 million units of LCDs are being sold every year, which means proper and responsible disposal and recycling have become crucial for environmental viability. LCD monitor recycling, besides mitigating hazards brought by hazardous materials existing in these devices. At ERI, we believe the proper and productive recycling of LCD monitors and televisions should be the focus. Our initial step in this process is the testing of every unit to determine its refurbishment potential for reuse. Those still able are resold, extending their productive lifecycle and reducing electronic waste. We carefully dismantle those monitors that are non-functional.
