That is the Duomo in Milan, Italy…….a magnificent piece of architecture that took 500 years to build! Definitely worth seeing, up close and personal. The stain glass windows are something to behold. You can also climb to the roof and walk among the statues whilst enjoying a glorious view of Milan!
It bears a lot of similarity to the cathedral in Cologne, Germany. I walked the 533 steps to the top. Never thought I would make it! It is built so amazingly!

The Duomo in Milan is probably one the most ornate of the magnificent Gothic cathedrals in Europe……..how does one mind design and create such an incredible edifice? Truth is, there were many, including da Vinci! The history is quite fascinating!
