It seems like an argument could be made that we are holding Americans back and making them less competitive in every way by denying them knowledge that citizens in other countries might have. That should be the angle the disclosure crowd takes because how could any serious government person argue that it is good to keep everyone in the dark while all their neighbors know what is going on?
