My grandfather was a WWII veteran. As he got older and extremely difficult, my mother made it her project to get him to shower, get out of bed, take care of his feet, go out for walks, etc. She told me about watching Patton with him, something nobody else was willing to do. She said he loved that movie and they watched it several times together.
