Today marks the 66th anniversary of Gladys Presley’s passing, the beloved mother of Elvis Presley. As a tribute to her, Elvis would send flowers from Burkes Florist weekly to her grave at Forest Hill. This tradition continues to this day, as Graceland honors Gladys’ memory by placing beautiful roses in her room.
